1) What's included in the price?
Everything you need is included in our cruise: stay in the cabin for all nights, all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, all parties and entertainment, most sports with instructors, all taxes and gratuities.
2) What's not included in the price?
Optional excursions, alcoholic drink, spa services, wi-fi, telephone calls, and shop purchases can usually be charged to your room and settled upon departure.
3) Before and after
We organize pre-cruise hotel, hotel-ship transfers and pre-parties in the city. As for flights, the arrival and the return must be arranged by yourself. We recommend arriving to departing port the day before setting sail. Return flight should be after 1pm.
4) Single guests
With the strong sense of community and camaraderie on the cruise, you'll never actually be alone unless you want to be. If you are a single traveller you have 2 options: Single cabin or join the Share Program.
This is a courtesy for our single guests and it works like this: we distribute our guests in same order as their reservations arrive as we need to fill each cabin completely before proceeding with a reservation. Unfortunately we can't give you your roomate's personal information (name, age or nationality) as this will be illegal. The same way, we will not reveal your personal information to other passengers.
5) Is it an all-gay cruise?
It's a gay-friendly cruise. Our rates are much lower (66% off) than all-gay cruises. Since 2007, we have been to several all-gay cruises and there were less than 5% of bears on board. So we decided to create our own cruise.
6) Is it only for bears?
Everyone has its point of view of what a bear is. It's like any other bear event: a great mix of bears, cubs, chasers, chubbies, daddies, otters and admirers who become friends after 7 days together. We are together at all times: breakfast, cabins in the same area, exclusive dinner tables for us, our own transfers and excursions, our own guides, our own spaces... You will not even realize that other passengers are on board. And these tend to be away from a group of gay men with facial hair anyway.
7) Reservation and Payment options
A deposit of 200 EUR per person or 400 EUR per cabin (for single cabins) must accompany all reservations. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure for all reservations. We accept bank wire and payment with credit card through our safe server.
8) What do I wear?
For lunch and breakfast at buffet you can wear T-shirt and shorts. For dinner in a restaurant is better to wear long pants and shirt. There are some formal nights in wich you can dress with suit and tie but you can also have dinner on the buffet that day.
Water, lemonade, iced tea, coffee and tea are free. With "Soda Fountain" option (around US$ 50) you can have free soda for the whole cruise. Alcoholic beverages are not included: cocktails cost something from 6 to 12 US$ and beers between 4 and 6 US$.
Breakfast: you can have it served at your stateroom (free) or you can eat it at the buffet.
Dinner: Maîtres, sommeliers and waiters are ready to serve you at the dining rooms. We have a special area with assigned tables only for bears. The menu includes around 25 dishes. There are also “theme” restaurants. You need to reserve and an extra charge per person between 2 and 25 US$ is applied.
We organize our own exclusive excursions with our own coaches and guides. Bears go the whole group together.
12) Language and Currency
Official language on board is English. Staff is from all over the world and is very easy to find crew who speak spanish, french or italian. All menus and buffet signs are in several languages. The currency on board is U.S. dollar. All fees, prices and final balance are in dollars. There’s an ATM on board.
