Herstory
In 2019, Vasco da Gama returned to her home in Europe, where she was commissioned as Statendam by Holland-America Line.
She combines the Portuguese explorer tradition with the demands of today’s cruise guests: a wide range of different bars and restaurants in an exclusive setting, lots of public space with a modern interior, and tasteful design elements.
On board, you’ll find a full range of equipment for spa, fitness, and your personal leisure activities. You won’t find any other comparable cruise ship of this size on the market offering such good value for money. The personal atmosphere on board due to the manageable number of guests is key to the sense of well-being.
The Highlights
Oasis Pool: At aft on Deck 10, this pool really is an oasis by day, with a wonderful sea view and fresh breeze, teak-wood deck, and super comfy loungers.
Lido: hot tubs and a heated main pool that thanks to the flexible panorama glass sliding roof, can be used throughout the year. At dusk, it will be transformed into the perfect space for our parties.
Dinner: Stylish evening meals with flexible times and open seating at the Mediterranean, Asian Fusion, or Club Bistro. And for a little extra The Grill, a top-quality steakhouse.
Spa & Wellness includes a sauna, steam bath, and a Gym with 11 spinning bikes, 5 steppers, 7 treadmills, 5 seated bikes, 14 weight machines, 2 rowing machines, and a large selection of free weights.

Spa should never be an extra charge like it is now on some cruise lines. Here it’s all included: the area includes a sauna, a wet area with jacuzzi and steam room and a great balcony to feel the fresh sea breeze. You can also sunbathe au naturel in our Bare Bears area.

We are proud to team up with the newest European All-gay cruise, based in Berlin. As we did on our first cruise with an All-Gay cruise that starts with A, we will host the Bear neighborhood, with bears, cubs, otters, chasers, daddies, chubs, and everyone in between.
Dress up
White, Hot’n’Sexy, Rugby, Fluor, Costume… you name it. These are only examples of the bear parties we have had on board. As this changes on every ship, we will have this info only a few weeks before the cruise. Do you have an idea for a theme party? Let us know!

Price includes All taxes & gratuities, ship accommodation, ocean transportation, meals, parties, entertainment, and some drinks (water, coffee & tea).
A deposit 500 EUR per cabin must accompany all reservations. Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure for all reservations.
The published prices already have the Early Bear 10% discount applied. These prices are valid until 30 September 2026.
The cancellation fee will be calculated on the basis of the agreed travel price as follows:
up to 150 days before departure 10%
up to 90 days before departure 20%
up to 45 days before departure 30%
up to 30 days before departure 50%
up to 10 days before departure 75%
up to one day before departure 90%
on the day of departure or no–show 95%
Two all-inclusive options are available under these conditions:
• In the case of double occupancy, both guests have to book the package.
